Project of the Year Award

In April 2014, in addition to an Award of Excellence, MEC² was also presented with the Subcontractor of the Year Award by ABC Baltimore for their work at St. Paul’s Ward Center project. MEC² was also the prime on this project. See a description of the project HERE!


MEC² Wins Another Safety Award For 2012

MEC² was awarded with ABC’s 2012 Silver-Level STEP Award (Safety Training and Evaluation Process) for having a quality safety program and safe work practices.

MEC² was awarded with ABC’s 2011 Gold-Level STEP Award (Safety Training and Evaluation Process) for having a quality safety program and safe practices.


MEC² Consecutively Named As One Of Baltimore SmartCEO Magazine’s Future 50

Baltimore SmartCEO magazine, in partnership with the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel, announces the publication’s seventh annual Future 50 awards, debuting in the January 2011 issue. The list of winners includes MEC².

The Future 50 program recognizes the 50 fastest-growing companies in the Greater Baltimore area based on employee and revenue growth over three years. This year’s Future 50 winners, each with an annual revenue in excess of $5 million, represent the future of the region’s economy and are exemplary leaders in business. Winners will be recognized at the Baltimore SmartCEO Future 50 event, scheduled for Jan. 6, 2011, at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel. See a Press Release here.


MEC² Wins Safety Award

MEC² wins ABC’s Award of Safety Excellence 2010

MEC² was awarded 1st place by ABC for Safety Excellence in 2010 by subcontractors with 220,001 to 300,000 annual man hours. This is the second year in a row that MEC² has won this award.


Platinum Core & Shell

MEC² was the mechanical subcontractor on Merritt Properties, LLC’s Schilling Green Core & Shell project, which was awarded USGBC’s Platinum certification in June 2010.


MEC² Named As One Of Baltimore SmartCEO Magazine’s Future 50

Baltimore SmartCEO magazine, in partnership with the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront Hotel and Hartman Business Technology, announces the publication’s sixth annual Future 50 winners, debuting in the January 2010 issue. The list of winners includes MEC².

The Future 50 program recognizes the 50 fastest-growing companies in the Greater Baltimore area based on employee and revenue growth. This year’s Future 50 winners collectively employ 5,500 people and generate over $2.5 billion in revenue.

The USGBC of Maryland Awards Core & Shell Project of the Year

In conjunction with General Contractor Merritt Properties, LLC., MEC² was awarded with Core & Shell Project of the Year Award of Excellence by the USGBC of Maryland for their work as the mechanical subcontractor on Schilling Green located in Hunt Valley, Maryland.

Green Building of America Award

MEC², in conjunction with Merritt Properties, LLC, has received the Green Building of America Award for the 230 Schilling Circle complex in Hunt Valley, MD. The facility is a 3-story, 120,000 square foot core and shell office building. The project is registered as LEED V2.0 Core and Shell with a goal of Platinum certification.


MEC² posts back-to-back wins for the “Members Using Members” Award 2008 for Arundel Preserve

Award of Excellence project, Arundel Preserve, garners recognition from Associated Builders and Contractors for MEC²’s efforts in doing business with only the very best contractors, suppliers, and professional associates in the area – other ABC members! MEC² won this award in the prior year (2007) too.

In 2006, Mechanical Engineering & Construction Corporation (MEC²) submitted entries for consideration for Associated Builders & Contractors Baltimore Chapter’s industry awards “Best of Baltimore Construction”.
